Hello, I'm Brandon Ford.
I'm a 3L at the University of Missouri School of Law, passionate about the intersections between law, technology, and public service. This site is a brief look into the story and skills behind my resumé.
About Me
Watching Law & Order with my mom was the beginning of my interest in becoming a lawyer, but it solidified into a career path through a genuine love for research, writing, and advocacy. I developed this love during high school, mostly because of my participation in speech & debate.
During undergrad I chose to major in religious studies because the curriculum intersected with all of the social sciences. My courses helped me learn to analyze complex texts, understand diverse worldviews, and construct nuanced arguments—skills that are foundational to the practice of law.
Now, as I prepare to graduate, that early interest has evolved into a focused ambition: to apply my analytical and writing skills in a meaningful way. I'm particularly drawn to fields like appellate defense and judicial clerkships, where clear, persuasive writing can shape outcomes and uphold justice.

Outside the Casebooks
When I'm not preparing for class, my intellectual curiosity leads me to technology. I'm fascinated by programming, web design, and the evolving legal questions surrounding new technologies like AI. This website is a product of that passion. I believe a deep understanding of technology is becoming essential for the modern lawyer, and it's a field I follow closely.
I also enjoy strategy and simulation video games, from building rollercoasters in RollerCoaster Tycoon to urban planning in SimCity 4. These hobbies help me refine my skills in long-term planning, resource management, and complex problem-solving.
Finally, I'm a dedicated animal lover. My cat, Oatmilk, is a constant source of joy and a reminder of the importance of compassion—a quality I strive to bring to my personal and professional life.

My cat, Oatmilk, being cute.
